Brian Scott served in the 128th Air Refueling Group as a Security Specialist in the Air Force Wisconsin National Guard from 1983-1987. He graduated from the Lacklland Air Force Basic training in September of 1983 and the Air Force Security Police Technical School at Lackland in November of the same year. He served as an auxiliary officer with the Cudahy Police Department (non-sworn position), progressed to Special Deputy with the Washihngton County Sheriff's Department (WI) from 1987-1990, then to Milwaukee County as a full-time Correctional Officer.

In 1992 Brian was appointed as a police officer with the Town of Burlington Police Department and transferred to the Cudahy Police Department in February 2000 becoming a Field Training Officer from 2007 until his retirement. In October 1997 Brian graduated from the Milwaukee Police Department Academy where he received certification as a police firearms instructor with the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Training and Standards Bureau (LESB). Brian then also obtained a license from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (DSPS) to also train civilian armed security guards for licensure with Wisconsin in October 1997 and has been training since. He also served with the Wisconsin State Fair Park Police Department part time from 1993-1999. In November 2012 Wisconsin added itself to the states where concealed carry was legal with a permit and Brian began certifying citizens for CCW.

Brian retired from the Cudahy police department recently but continues his licensing for firearms instructing for security guards and concealed carry holders and has rcently started a book on the subject. He can be reached at bscott8766@att.net.
